About

Based at the University of Toronto, Quantum Advantage Toronto (QAT) brings together diverse researchers from quantum information science, engineering, physics, chemistry, environmental science, astronomy, finance, philosophy, and many other areas, to drive quantum discoveries toward applications. 

With a focus on technology development, interdisciplinary engagement, collaborations within and outside of academia, and global leadership in quantum applications, QAT works with the existing Centre for Quantum Information and Quantum Control (CQIQC), a hub for fundamental quantum information science, to establish an end-to end quantum ecosystem at U of T. 

Mission 

QAT aims to accelerate the translation of quantum research into user applications, bridging fundamental quantum discoveries and societal impact. The initiative drives innovation through technology development and industry engagement, builds strong partnerships across academia, industry, government, and end users, and equips students, researchers, professionals, and the public with quantum literacy, entrepreneurial tools, and cross-disciplinary expertise to advance and deploy quantum technologies responsibly.

These foster collaboration between quantum scientists and experts in other diverse areas to drive quantum research, innovation, partnerships and education.
